Background

With our free widget, you can estimate how many ice days are likely to be required as early as the planning and quotation phase. This allows you to calculate realistic time buffers, plan project phases more precisely and create legally compliant quotations. At the same time, this transparent approach strengthens the trust of your clients and partners, as ice days are specifically taken into account. If you know at an early stage that ground frost may occur in five days in January, for example, you can plan appropriate measures and make construction safer and easier to plan.

Application

You can either right-click to select a location or enter the address of your project directly. Then select the period in which the services to be provided fall. After you have selected "Calculate", a list of relevant metadata appears and finally the calculation of the ice days at your location.

To select a location manually, use the right click within the map, an address, or for undeveloped areas, coordinates!

Data basis

We use all DWD weather stations available for the comparison period. A total of up to 850 weather stations are available. As recommended by Kapellmann (Kapellmann/Messerschmitt, § 6 VOB/B, Rdn. 26), the comparison period is a ten-year interval that is updated every year in July. The height adjustment is made on the basis of the DWD's recommended height gradient. The results are commercially rounded.

Liability

We have no influence on the raw data provided to us and therefore exclude any liability.
